Darius~*steps into the Oracle court , a small someone by his side , she is clinging to his robes , her rose gold eyes scanning , she sees Mel and she runs to her *
Mel~*sees her daughter running to her , she scoops her up into her arms and hugs her so tight * Onyx!!! My sweet baby!! I got you back *she holds her close , her heart so happy it could burst *
Onyx~*clings to her mother , she has learned so much since being born , the most important thing she has learned is how much she loves her mother , the other thing she has learned is how to express feelings to her and she is working on the talking out loud thing, but until she gets that down she speaks in Mels mind *” I Love you mama ! I love you “
Mel~*her eyes brimming with happy tears says to her daughter , sitting her down gently and moving close to her * I Love you to my sweet girl ! I am so proud of you ! So very proud ❤️
Gurdor~*stands at attention near the door , watching this scene , a tear even coming into his eye, he gently wipes it , smiling at this happy reunion *
Mel~*holding her daughter close ,she turns to Darius , wiping the happy tears * how did you do it ?
Darius~*smiles and gives a warm chuckle * I told you , I have my ways *winks and smiles more *
Later…….
Darius~*returns home after delivering Onyx back to her overjoyed mother , he enters the library and sees Orpheus looking rather distraught about something * How are things proceeding here Nyx ?
Orpheus ~*takes a deep breath and says with exasperation* I’m sorry sir , but i am afraid I have frightened the Human into hysterics , she has only just now stopped sobbing, she is hiding behind the large red armchair sir
Darius~*sighs and peers slightly round and sees Hannah hiding , he looks at Nyx and pats his arm * it’s alright , I will handle it , just stay near , we need to ease this fear of hers *he knows this is typical of humans , but he tries whenever he can to try and ease their fears of the supernatural world *
Orpheus~*sits down and says to himself in his own mind , wishes he were anywhere else but here , he usually deals with humans when they are asleep and gives them nightmares as is his nature , but dealing with them awake is something he has never had to do *
Darius~*gently makes his way over to Hannah, his voice warm and gentle * Hannah my dear , there is nothing to fear , no one is going to hurt you , it’s alright ….
Hannah~*after a few moments moves back from the chair slightly , she says in a very shaky voice , hiccuping a bit because of crying * .. I wanna go home …
Darius~*kneels down and speaks in the same warm , gentle voice * I will make sure you get home , I promise
Hannah~*in a small voice says * … ok …
Darius~*offers his hand and asks her gently * will you come with me my dear
Hannah~*slowly and tentatively reaches out and takes his hand *
Darius~*very slowly and gently , speaking softly as he does , helps her to her feet * everything is going to be alright my dear
Darius~*he leads her around the chair and keeps his arm gently around her *
Hannah~*lets out a hysterical scream when she sees Orpheus sitting in the chair *
Orpheus~*lets out an annoyed groan , looking as if he would rather be anywhere else and he certainly wants no part in what’s coming next *
Darius~*keeps a tight hold of Hannah who is trying to wriggle away to hide again * it’s alright my dear , it’s alright *keeps his voice even , warm and gentle , until he can feel Her calm slightly , he doesn’t want her fully under his spell , he wants to show her , it truly is alright * this is a friend of mine , his name is Orpheus Nyx , he won’t hurt you , I give you my word *he looks at Nyx and asks * right Orpheus
Orpheus~*sighs and says in a not enthusiastic voice * ya ya … I won’t … *grumbles something …..
then let’s out a slight cry of pain as Darius kicks him, he then tries to sound more convincing *
No I won’t hurt you …. *grumbles a bit more *
Darius ~*turns to Hannah and smiles gently * you have entered a supernatural world my dear , but I want you to understand , we are not all evil , we will not all do harm .
Hannah~*looks at Darius closely now , even more than she did before when she first met him , did she ever notice that his eyes were red before ? But he never hurt her , he is the one that she first saw when she woke up , he was so gentle and told her she was safe , she asks in a small voice * what are you ?
Darius~*says very gently * I am a demon my dear
Hannah ~*processes this word for a moment , she was always taught to fear that word , she says in the same small voice * ok *but she looks at him with a new understanding , she then peers at Nyx who is sulking on the chair , she asks in a little more confident voice * what are you sir ?
Orpheus ~*looks at her with a slight impressed look and answers her truthfully * I am a night mare demon
Hannah~*processes this as well and says quietly * oh …. *bites her lip as her mind whirrs with many questions , ones she doesn’t know if she wants to know the answers to ,she turns to Darius , asks quietly* will you let me go home now ?
Darius~*nods and smiles softly at her * of course my dear , I will take you right away *he leads her gently from the room*

I wanted to Develop Hannah as a character a bit more , instead of just a near victim in this story , she will appear again 😉 and I just adore Orpheus, he is in Mels Honor court but he doesn’t see her as human , as she is many other things. He is one of my favorite new characters
